Overview

DotZero is a managed offshore engineering company: 350+ engineers, a track record across 75+ companies, and a portfolio spanning unicorn-scale exits. Growth had been historically referral-driven, and outbound was untested.

The program ran 9 signal-based campaigns across 1,336 contacts, built on relationship-first messaging and the founder’s own profile. It produced 16 qualified leads and 5 deals in active scoping in under 3 months, worth $600K in qualified pipeline, with a 37% reply rate on the top campaign.

The Challenge

DotZero had scale and delivery proof, but one growth channel. Its market is finite: roughly 4,000 GCC companies, tight-knit and trust-first, where reputation travels fast. The referrals that built the business made the company brand-protective by necessity. Outbound had to be opened carefully, or not at all.

  • A second pipeline channel alongside referrals, built without risking the referral reputation.
  • An outbound motion designed for a finite market of roughly 4,000 GCC companies.
  • Messaging that fits a trust-first, tight-knit market: relationship openers, not pitches.
  • Proof in qualified pipeline, not activity metrics, that outbound deserved a permanent place in the growth model.

Our Approach

Two outbound modes, both built to protect the brand

Instead of one pitch sequence for everyone, the program ran two deliberately different modes, each opening conversations rather than closing them.

  • An MQL flywheel: signal-based targeting with non-committal relationship openers. No pitching in the sequence; qualification happens in person.
  • A consultative diagnostic, used only where objectively visible data gave a concrete reason to reach out.
  • Two copy principles held everywhere: sequences capped at 2 steps, and no break-up emails.

Signal-based campaign architecture

9 campaigns across 1,336 contacts, each built on a signal that made the outreach timely. Signals decided who to contact and when, never what the message said.

  • Recently funded companies, within 90 days of the round.
  • Companies hiring for open engineering roles.
  • Portfolio companies of partner VCs.
  • Event attendees, where event-led campaigns booked at 60–70% rates.

The founder’s profile as the channel

Outreach moved from the company account to the founder, positioned as an ecosystem investor rather than a vendor. Every meeting the program generated came from founder-profile campaigns.

  • 37% reply rate on the top founder-profile campaign, against 7% on company profiles.
  • 100% connection acceptance in the UAE and GCC segment.
  • 8 meetings from 49 contacts on the top campaign.

The Results

  • $600K in qualified pipeline from 5 deals in active scoping.
  • 16 qualified leads in under 3 months.
  • 885 contacts reached at a 7.6% overall reply rate.
  • 37% reply rate on the top campaign: 8 meetings from 49 contacts.
  • 60–70% booking rates on event-led campaigns.
  • Relationship-led outbound validated as a repeatable channel alongside referrals.

DotZero’s takeaway travels: in trust-first markets, outbound that works is relationship-building, and the founder’s own profile is the channel that carries it. What began as an untested channel is now a repeatable playbook DotZero runs alongside the referrals that built the company.

That principle is what Superable builds GCC B2B GTM engines on: one go-to-market engine that flexes across several channels at once instead of several disconnected vendors, the model we call Elastic GTM. Signal-led outbound is one of its five channels, and it earns its place by opening relationships, not pitching them.
